Copal, Illuvia, Iridescence Of Clouds

There are many different kinds of Copal, however, this variety is Black Copal, also known as Dark Copal. It comes from the Dammar Pine tree, which grows in many places such as Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines. We use real black copal resin, ground to a powder and mixed, according to an original recipe, with white sandalwood to aid in combustibility and create a full-bodied scent. Each stick is 4" long and burns for 40-45 minutes. 

The deep, mysterious, balsamic scent is relaxing and grounding, perfect for meditation and spiritual practices. Copal is burned to purify the energy of spaces, places and objects.

The music stretches out like cirrus across a wide blue stillness, liquid drums drift just beneath the clouds, like winds shaping mist. Just clouds, and the endless sky they wander through.

Each stick is made by grinding the herbs, flowers, and spices into a powder and then dipping the sticks in resin, rolling the ground herb onto the stick, and then sun-drying.

Focusing on the far reaches of Ambient and Drum and Bass, soaring, euphoric ambient textures overlay distant echoes of driving drum and bass, before subtly transitioning to drums at the forefront, once again.

Typically, atmospheric Drum and Bass song structures become blurred, as half-step kick patterns sit amongst more recognizable Amen breaks; or reverb-heavy drums; often echoing the worlds of Ludvig’s other aliases - his fingerprint instantly recognizable. The expected breakdowns are often ephemeral; teased slowly into existence and then faded into the background as each track weaves in and out of the two musical spectrums and the progressive emotion of the album unfolds at a glorious, soaring pace.
